can you actually find the monster in the floor before the water room?

No, it vanishes if you get too close or when it gets to a certain door.

I think it's the same monster, only it cloaks when you get close.

Well there are invisible water monsters, a Shadow is hunting us and we are going crazy, think the Shadow just wanted to scare us.

Its called a water lurker for a reason, it uses the water as a cloak to stalk and hunt down its prey :P

anything that breaks the waters surface and it will chase it down..
