Hi,
from time to time, I like to take a screenshot of the nice environments and I do this by typing "screenshot" in the console. However, this means I can't take a screenshot while looking around in a car/boat (the camera resets) or while zoomed in (sniper/recon goggle).
Would there be any way to bind a shortcut key to a console command?
greets
I'd recommend to skip the internal screenshot mechanism altogether and install a external screenshot tool that will work for most games, google for "Fraps", a free version is available.
If Far Cry 2 actually is using the same scripts as Far Cry, it my be possible to turn off the HUD, and take screenshots in "-DEVMODE". Will look into this once the game has arrived. I sure hope this will be possible.

Or you can press 'printscreen' and it will save a screenshot (png format) under My Documents\My Games\FarCry 2\screenshots.
The HUD fades away after a few seconds anyway:

lol, so simple and intuitive that i didn't think of it to try that! :) thank you!
yes, sometimes it's really breathtaking. although you can't really capture those moments fully in a screenshot because you miss sound/movement of trees etc, it's the closest thing :)
I always take my screenshots using the knife in an attempt to see as much as possible..
If the configuration works like Far Cry... and some script code may actually be there... one should actually be able to remove the weapon as well. In a few days the game should have arrived, to test this.
