I can't seem to launch this game after doing a fresh install of windows. I tried deleting all the game's content and re-downloading it, but that failed too. I launch the game, and it just fails to start. The application closes before it even pops up the introductory promotional videos (i.e. Dolby, Pandemic, etc.)
I tried compatibility mode and received this error, no matter what OS or revision I picked:
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.
I'm at an honest loss here. Any help?
Edit: I've finally managed to resolve this issue. By installing Creative ALchemy, I no longer crash on start. I believe it was due to the game attempting to load EAX.dll on startm which was causing the crash, 0xc0000142.
That said, here's a link I've uploaded to the driver so no one else has to go hunting for it. It's on hotfile.
