It's not "that early"... it ships in November. Everyone needs to read this small article about the servers, and imagine wanating a server for hmm, a year lets say, and add up the cost...

while i sympathize and see many valid complaints on this topic, there are also benefits to this.

For starters, any other company is just going to be in the same datacenters, so the only real loss is local serving, something that aint reliable.

1. The dedicated server files or engine per say... will be protected from prying eyes.. while some many get out thru illegal hacking, this is good for the community because people wont be able to pick it apart, and if and when they finally do, new updates can make it worthless. This will solve a lot of hacks and hacking and stuff

The ranking system becomes better protected.

A hacker can be completely banned off all servers if being disruptive.




More cons though


I would think that customer support is going to be a huge problem, with all 10,000+ servers by this one company, how can they possible support customers? i mean 500 complaints at one time will require 500 reps to get the same service we get.. no way this can be

I have been with gameserver with 3 years now. For css/ventrilo/teamspeak and other stuff. There is one thing I will always give them. The support is extremly good and extremly fast. Even with all the complaints they will have they will fix everything in half a second.

Now, you realize that if you petition goes through and wins that we still won't be able to kick/ban players that are hacking or ♥♥♥♥ talking.. You realize that IWnet is even worst for pings issue than server based? Aleast with serverr based , you can choose your ping.. on IWnet you can't.

Don't know if you even got into a game with europeens players when you live in the America... Kind of really lame when they host.
