Vsync does not seem to be working. I have set Vsync on, but I still get the tearing. I have a ATI X800XT.
Even when the Vsync is set to on, when I look at the FPS it does not seem like it is working.
Please help.

Have you set it forced on in your driver application settings?

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried to force it on using ATI Tray Tools, but it still does not work.
I have even used an older ATI opengl.dll from an earlier driver and it does not help.
I cant believe I am the only one that has this problem on this forum.
Bummer.

Editing your configs may be a step in the right direction.
Vsync definitely works for me. I know this because it absolutely kills my FPS. Which is why I turned it off. :D

If I remember correctly, when I looked ar the .ini file, it showed vsync enabled. But it still isnt working
I there some other way I can force Vsync on?
Thanks.

I think I finally got it working. It seems the problem was using ATI Tray Tools.
I uninstalled ATI Tray Tools and my ATI drivers. I then reinstalled my drivers and Doom 3 worked fine with Vsync.
I then reinstalled ATI Tray Tools, and setup the Doom 3 profile to use Triple Buffering. Doom 3 started tearing again. I uninstalled ATI Tray Tools and Doom 3 was still tearing.
So I uninstalled ATI Tray Tools and my ATI drivers. I reinstalled the ATI drivers and Doom 3 works fine. I installed Raedon Pro to make a game profile for Doom 3 Triple Buffering and everything works!
Hopefully it will keep working.
