NFS: Undercover... question before purchase

Thinking about picking up undercover and was curious how the driving handles with a mouse + Keyboard. I dont have a 360 controler or other gamepad or driving wheel. any feedback would be awsome, thanks.

The driving is amazing on mouse + keyboard. I can't really compare it to a gamepad or a driving wheel, as I strongly dislike them both and love the versatile feeling of using the keyboard.

I've played using kb + m on Most Wanted, Undercover, and a bit of World. It's great. :)

Cars shoot around the track way too easily, and turn on a dime. This is before you upgrade a car even slightly. I know this was supposed to be arcade, but compared to the Need for Speed: Most Wanted it's copying so horribly it pretty much completely fails. They can't even get right what they had before.

Also, even if you do buy this bit of trash, stay away from the Steam version. It hasn't been patched to the current version which came out months ago. There's a big he said she said about who's fault it is (Valve? EA?) but the point is you can't play online without it. There's a user made patch, but it's buggy at best and creates its own issues.
