Is it releasing today or not?

A bit confused, as this is the first time I've seen a title on Steam not show a Pre-purchase button, especially when it's slated to be released the same day. Is it not coming out in certain regions? Me being in Norway, as far as I can recall only one game has not made it here thus far, wich was Singularity (but that was mainly all of EU anyways).

I think the game looks somewhat fun, and will want to buy it. Just wondering why it's not showing a Buy button yet.

Ah, it was rather the fact that there is no Pre-purchase/Buy button, although there are 3 hours (at the time of this being written) until it is supposed to be available. That is is released around 7pm GMT+1 (Norway) is not so surprising, that is normal. No button isn't :(

So apparently, the game has been out on Impulse since 06/30/2010. Impulse doesn't have these awesome achievements though.

Rokwar's right, go check out the demo, see what you think. The Steam version has some bugfixes on top of what is in the demo, as well as achievements.

We ran into some last-minute hiccups when testing the final release, and we want to make sure that we don't deliver a buggy product. I visited the chatroom Stig was in yesterday and he said it would either be out today (9/21) or tomorrow. Online multiplayer is not going to happen, but will probably happen for Delve Deeper 2.

No, we're still fixing bugs. We ran into some packaging issues getting it ready for Steam. And this version includes bugfixes that aren't present in the versions on GamersGate and Impulse. We're going to put out updated versions there once we've got this wrapped up.

Maybe you'd like to read some post above before posting. They are having some issue with Steam release and are working to correct some bugs at the same time. They said they should be releasing within the week.

The game was complete before it was released on steam (hence how it was released on other various digital distributers first) but steam has a lovely habit of breaking things. This unfortunately caused some major problems in the game that make it essentially unplayable, so the developers are working all day to try to fix the issues and to get the game out as soon as possible :3.

I love all the hate directed at a guy selling you a 5 dollar game. First, if you didn't care, you wouldn't be mad.

Second, the game looks fun and its 5 dollars. You don't get to throw a temper tantrum over a slight delay.

Third, if you really cared so badly about having this game now, you could have already purchased it.

As it seems to be, I will buy it after release but only play in October then. But I have to express my gratitude and my respect for the developers who first fix all bugs before they release it, a practice that has become rare these days.

As of right now, we think so. We've been thinking about what we'd do for a sequel for a long time, but we haven't done any formal planning yet.

Now that we've got Delve Deeper out, we're going to work on a game for Android phones (Touch of Death: http://www.touchofdeathgame.com) for a month or so, and then get back to serious development on Delve Deeper 2.
