Instagib rails... how?

Installed that thing in the q3a unofficial sticky forum bit so have the CPMA etc.

All i want to do is set up a game were its instagib and rail guns only but this seems impossible. Its not for a dedicated server or anything just a lan server. Preferably on the normal q3a game but if it has to be done on cpma or team arena then that would be fine.

Any help would be much appreciated.. thanks.

If you're using CPMA, you can set up your own "modes" (gameplay types). It's documented in \cpma\docs\Modes.txt. Unfortunately I don't remember how to set up vanilla Quake 3 in a similar fashion.

The modes are located in \cpma\modes\. You can either create a new mode that you set up or modify any of the templates that are already there. Once you've set a .cfg up and picked a name, e.g. scottinsta.cfg, you can callvote it in-game by typing callvote scottinsta in the console.

A mode file would in your case look something like this:

I just scrambled this together from memory quite hastily, so you might have to fix/change some things. See the documentation for further options and settings.

Thanks alot for that, the cfg worked perfectly.

All i need to do now is figure out why the game starts to go laggy after about 5mins of playing and its all good.
