Please Help, Not sure how I was destroyed

Hey guys,

My friend and I have been playing a 2 player scenario versus the AI for around a good 18 hours. We started going to war with the AI when suddenly a pop up came up and told me I had been destroyed. I'm not sure how I lost unless it was because I had -10k income at the time because I was fueling a massive battle and in debt like a fool. Besides that all my cities were fine and everything was going well. Could someone tell me if that's a way in which a user can die. I don't know how players lose the game. I imagine if you lose all your towns etc.. but I have plenty. Please help any information will be much appreciated

Uhm, you used to be able to loose in the old anno parts if your actual money was neagtive (when you hit -100000 or sometihng) ... not sure about 1404 though, I can give it a try (I actually never was much in the neagtive area, only -1000 at some point or so).

Yes that is about right if you get to far into debt. The game will end and you will lose. That happen to me one time I wasn't paying to much to how much money I had.

In Anno you are a lord tasked with expanding the kingdom for your King If your in the red for too long you get the sack.

You got to -100,000 gold and didn't notice?
