Your link is just going to the main page, can't find anything about an A-10 review.

whoa what the f***? Why is it $60? I've never seen a PC exclusive game go for more than $49.99...

Soulsick, I saw it when I scrolled down a few news articles.
Flarp, The value of the dollar is dropping. Thus, you can expect inflation, Many games are starting to hit the 59.99 range. BTW. My experience so far tells me this is one the most realistic sims out there. Hands down.

Thats lame.
I'll wait till the price drops.

Flarp, 59 bucks for an advanced flight sim is too much for you? How cheap can you get? I bet you paid the same price for Modern Warfare 2.

No. I can afford it, i just personally dont think its worth it; key word "personally."
I'm an avid flight simmer, but in the end its still just a game. Considering i'm not an actual A10 pilot, i dont stand to gain anything from this "advanced flight sim" other than entertainment.
And for me, its value of entertainment is not worth $60, especially with several other PC games coming out soon that will take up my time (Red Orchestra 2, Battlefield 3, Hitman 5, Skyrim).
This is in no way a judgement upon the actual product; i'm sure its a great piece of software. But i'll wait till it gets to 40 or 30 before buying (like i did with blackshark).
I do like how you referenced modern warfare 2 though, especially considering that i dont own it.

Thats not even out yet, and if it turns out to be $60 then i wont be getting that either.
I have a long list of games i want this year; this is helping me narrow it down.

Fair enough. It does seem to be 59.99 for all platforms, btw, but the only preorders I've been able to find are the "Limited Edition". So I guess we'll see. (Still though, 60 dollars is ~22 dollars less than we have to pay. I really need to start buying my games from the US. :P )

lol.
Are buying from Australia? The funny thing is that the Euro and AUS dollar are worth more than the US dollar, yet you guys pay more.
sucks :(

Sweden. Normal PC retail here for a new game is ~500 SEK which is roughly 82 US dollars. It does vary a bit though, some games retail at 450 (Skyrim preorders for 449). Most of the price difference is due to exchange rates and VAT though.
As a more immediate example, DCS A-10C bought from digitalcombatsimulator.com costs 60 US dollars for me, which means 366 SEK. On Steam I have to pay in Euro, which means 533 SEK. Non-trivial difference. >.<
Similar situation with electronics: iPad 2 16GB without 3G is 499 dollars in the US, and 4395 SEK here - which is 718 dollars. 64GB with 3G is 829 dollars in the US - but 7 195 SEK here (1 177 dollars).

Japan in Japan with games. Most sell for about 8000 yen, which is close to $100 for a game (I just live here though, Im not Japanese). Thankfully I am still able to buy my stuff from America, and save $50-$60 on a game usually.
