AI penalties?

I got a 10 second penalty for tapping somebody from behind. Massa did the same to me later on. On the scoreboard it has my team, and then flashes to say that I have +10 seconds added to my team. I went and looked at Massa's, and he had no such thing.

Simple question: do the AI opponents not get penalised, in the exact same situations that the player does?

As i saw in some movies, it's probably the player who gets the penalties ... even if you didn't cause the crash ... i hope they get it fixed.

massa span off just after the first corner, came crashing back into a whole bunch of cars and I got a penalty. Pretty lame. Hope they sort it.

i have been blocked in quali so many times i am ready to black flag half of the field. When you choose "flying lap" from the garage, the least the ai could do is gtf out of your way.
