GFWL = Games for Windows LIVE. I actually like the looks of this game and will be hopefully getting it on 28th or 29th September.

Steamworks and GFWL are not mutually exclusive (see Dawn of War 2).

Dead Rising 2 isn't a Steamworks title.

That's a list of retail games that are accepted on Steam, Dead Rising 2 isn't on that list (in-case you didn't look).

If you want Dead Rising 2 on Steam you will have to buy it off the Steam Store.
