View Full Version : Steam Cloud support would be so awesome

Just noticed that a couple of games have recently gotten patched to add Steam Cloud (the Puzzle Quest games come to mind). It would be really nice if the same thing was done with this game too. Here's why:

Each save file in TLR is 1,680 KB in size. Since there are 50 save slots (including the autosave), that works out to be 84,000 KB (82.03 MB) in total. Since Cloud has a 100 MB maximum, it would fit perfectly. Finally, a game that would actually (mostly) use all that space!

I've made a somewhat primitive version of Steam Cloud by using Dropbox (http://db.tt/tp5Ib98) and this tool (http://wiki.dropbox.com/DropboxAddons/DropboxFolderSync), and even though it works really well it's just not the same. :p

50 saves... hard to see the point in it. If I ever had to go back more than ten saves, I would probably just put the game down for a couple of months then restart the whole thing.

I don't really see Square Enix giving much more than minimum support to the PC platform.

Plus, this game's like 13GB.. how many PCs do you want to install it on?

I'd like cloud support also. Cloud doubles as a good backup for saves in case you delete yours somehow. I hate having to manually copy saves and configurations after being used to several Steam games that use Cloud.
