For anyone that is having horrible issues since update

Many people from my clan and communities have been getting serious issues with fps, console spam and general performace seems to suck. This has worked for every single on of them so far.
Uninstall the game, delete the half life 2 dealth match gfc in steam apps, redownload and install. Also delete any launch options you have set in the hl2dm properties in steam.
We have heavily customised things in our folders over the years, this is a brand new build and something as simple as a custom decal from a server conflicting with anything new they've added is enough to put you at 4fps.

And i just learned to skate without crouch in about 20 minutes, you gain just as much acceleration while doing a well timed run, i was peaking at 480 velocity from doing a small lap from ladder to ladder in lockdown, its a bit noisier, but it will do until they fix the bug. Which you must fix btw valve!!
