Don't judge a game by it's demo

I have played painkiller: special edition (by accident, it's a paid shareware) and that sucked, and two demos i played sucked. but painkiller: black edition is AMAZING!

I never thought the craziness of an itouch dual-stick shooter could be implemented into a pc shooter (don't knock them 'till you try them- i know what i'm talking about! 13+ years gaming experience)

I really enjoyed it from the time I got to the menu. also, there's no bugs on my end, and the game runs amazing on a macbook nv9400m (OC) in bootcamp on 1920x1080- so that's great. (considering I can run F.E.A.R. 1 and 2 on max settings)\

it's a great game, so don't loose faith!

Not sure what you're talking about.. The demo to the original Painkiller is fine. It's a level or two straight from the full game.

If you're talking about Resurrection, well.. that's another story altogether. ;)

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww Resurrection, yuck so much promise of a return to the first game. So much disappointment.:(


The demos play just like the full games so I don't know what your problem was.:confused: Glad you like the game though, finally.

Gamerscore 38, yeah than It is not worth even try a demo !

The *big* warning sign should be that it isn't developed by People Can Fly. Nothing good can happen when you try to improve something that somebody else did really well.

And at the same time, I'm really keen to see what People Can Fly did with their new title: Bulletstorm.

That demo was a freaking disgrace. Bad performance, bad graphics, buggy as hell, confusing gameplay.

Made the mistake of buying Dreamkiller instead. Steaming pile of mediocrity at best.

(err mistake as in I shouldn't have bought either, but I was set on getting one or the other...)

If I can't judge a game by its demo, what's the point of the demo?

I'm not saying that all demos are accurate representations of the game, but I expect them to at least be similar in quality.
