Are you saying when you Alt-Tab out of the game, it crashes?
Or are you saying that you start the game from a desktop icon and it crashes before the game loads?

Soo you have it windowed and you click outside the game and then click back in, it crashes?
Maybe not doing that is the best solution.

No I run the game in fullscreen ;)
I start the game, I press the windows icon or alt+tab. When i go back ingame it crashs.

That happens to me with a lot of mods since the update.
Does this happen to you all the time? Or just today. If it's just happening now, maybe restart Steam.

Yeah Alt-Tabbing out of Source games isn't a good thing to do, it usually ends up when you reopen the game you get missing textures and models, or in this case it just crashes.

You could contact Support. As I said, this happens to me for a lot of mods, but only since the May update.
I don't know if there is a fix, beyond avoiding Alt-Tabbing out of Ep1. (If you're doing it to access the Steam Community, use Shift-Tab instead.)
Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.

Contact them and tell them the msinfo file is too big to include now.
You'll get an email auto-response, and you can reply. Send msinfo then.

I do mean to actually report the crash, first. And say why you're not including the msinfo file. :)
