So it will be my 3rd attempt trying to get through this game. I get about as far as the first town and just find the game a bit boring.

I'm looking to enhance the game a bit. I've done the usual looking at fileplanet, but there are just so many freakin' mods on there. So just looking for some help as to which ones are a must.

I remember seeing a few faces/models changes, but aren't sure which ones are good. I'd be interested in some neat weapon mods too if there are any good ones. Not like item specific stuff, but just additional items and weaponry or balancing issues.

Any suggestions would be a great help.

Lol, I'm looking for the same thing, fileplanet is just overflowing with mods, and i went and download, a massive amount of retexturing and such, but there was no good consolidated mod, just a lot of small ones. anyone got some good mods?

I found this after some more searching: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes3Mod:Main_Page

To help you out, I'm using the Better Bodies & Faces, More Heads, Better bottles, Better Armor & Weapons mods. I'm pretty sure that's it. I tried the graphics improver one but it dragged the game down to a crawl for me, like 5 fps. But I have a AMD 3500+ so that might be why. It seemed really technical so read the help files to understand it.

Keep playing, the game folds itself as you play. It is completely a free world. Be imaginative.

This would help. There are many like this. Create your own world. Don't adapt to others.

MGE is working with Steam. Just follow the FAQ.

Q: I have the Steam version of Morrowind, how do I get MGE to work with it?
A: Disable Steam community in-game: go to your Steam settings window and choose the "In-game" tab, then uncheck the "Steam Community In-Game" box. You should also redate morrowind.bsa, tribunal.bsa, and bloodmoon.bsa to year 2002. In the location where you installed Steam, look for "...Steam\SteamApps\common\morrowind" folder - Morrowind's bsa's will be located under the "Data Files" folder. You'll need a 3rd party utility to redate the files (Attribute Changer v6.20 works well for this).

I recommend the Arktwend Total conversion,

it's a whole different world and I have found it to be superb in quality
be aware that most mods won't work with it though

Better Bodies and Better Heads is always the first thing I install.

This is a very well written guide with pretty much all the worthwile "hall of fame" mods in the correct installation order ect, including MGE and the retexture packs (that make morrowind look better than oblivion, no joke). Be prepared to set a couple hours aside to do this though lol.

nvm, tried twice to post the link, but apparently valve does not approve of the ED forums.
