If the Golden wrench goes up for sale in Mann Co. maybe for $20

dollars & allow anyone to purchase it and you can use half or

the full amount received from consumers to be donated to charity.

Just thought that this idea will help others in a way.

I'm sure those whom destoryed their wrench for charity would buy again for charity :)

20$ is a too little price. 99.99$ then yes!

The purchase price of the wrench is it's weight in gold.

Guys, $20 dollars is a reasonable price.

Imagine 1 million people buy the Golden Wrench for $20 dollars.

Thats Lots of Money $$$$

Only Valve knows how many people had bought TF2 so far.. from there they could get the $$$$ total.

That'll make Valve & The Charity Organisers happy.

Considering the Polycount pack is over twice that amount, $100 seems more fitting for a rare item. Methinks you just want the wrench, and don't really care about the charity part.

$100?! YOU UNDERESTIMATE THE WRENCH!

$150. At LEAST.

PS siva1981 - Welcome to SPUF. We do this sort of crap

I think, the golden wrench should not be sold. It was an rare item and it should stay an rare item.

But there could be an item such as "Charity Medal" for ~10 or 20$. I would like that.

I agree with Nijin, it shouldn't be the golden wrench. But another item sold for around $10 would be good.

Guy's you don't understand Business Trick.

I'm a businessman so i know the trick.

Selling something effordable & you'll sure to sell them in large quantities.

But if you sell something expensive like $100 -$150, you'll sell in small quantities.

Example: If you sell Golden Wrench at
$20 x 1 million people = 20million

But If you sell Golden Wrench at $100 x 500 people = $50000

If you sell for a small amount, more people will buy with greater profits. Even the young kids would persuade their parents to get one for them out for charity. Imagine if a kid asks he's mom:

Kid: "Mom, can I have $100 dollars.

Mom: 100 Dollars !! Why do you need so much of money for.

Kid: I want to buy the Golden Wrench, plus the money we pay will go to charity.

2 answers

Ans 1 Mom: Sure, here you go (For those well to do family aka "Rich")

Ans 2 Mom: Honey, we can't afford to spent that much of money on video game (Normal living family)

If it's sold cheaper like $20 dollars, every single TF2 gamers out there can afford both Normal Families & Rich Families.

Thats the trick of business.

Why do you see TF2 50% off on sale?

Now you know :)

Siva, they're not idiots. They're saying $20 is an insane amount of money to spend for a stupid in game item. And you can't just pull numbers out of your ♥♥♥. A real businessman wouldn't get away with doing that. Furthermore, the item was meant to be rare, why would they possibly make it a common item? It takes away from the whole point of it. As to the charity medal, that makes sense. If you create a whole new item specifically for it then it doesn't take away from the people who got the exclusive item.

The Medusa Reversal Clinic.

On a more serious note, probably a well known one - I'd pick Red Cross if it were my call, but...

Different charity batches for different charities could be a really nice idea.

I don't know, doesn't only a small amount of each donation actually help the people in need because the organization is so large?

That may be, but because the organization is so large, it gets a TON of donations. In the amount of time it took you to read this post, it probably got enough in donations to send off about $500.

Yes, but what's better, donating to an organization that gives 5% of the donations to the people, or one where 20% go to them?

I think it doesn't matter which organization gets the money.

As long as we are able to help the Needy, that will be great.

I disagree there. You should be very careful where you make your charitable donations as there are unscrupulous charities out there so it makes sense to choose a more reputable charity (not necessarily a big named one) but in all honesty I think you should go with your heart as to which cause to choose.
