View Full Version : Game invites should have a timestamp

A friend of mine had invited me into a game while i was not around at the PC. I had left my Steam on, infact it's always one. I see he invited me to play with them a little Left 4 Dead 2. However, when i came back to my PC, i had no way of knowing immediately how long ago this was and should i even participate at that time anymore, incase the game was almost over anyway. This would have saved the bother of asking and infact some people have turned the messages off (like me) so they don't see the coming message popup ingame.

If i type a message to him, i see the timestamp so it would be great if the invites would held one too. Thanks.

Yes, this would be nice. I always like a timestamp so I know if I need to even bother joining or to reply to a message.

so three people want this feature? i guess i wont hold my breath.

also, the new disappearing invites thing isnt any good either. i would STILL like a timestamp since even when the invite goes away you still have the chat window open and are wondering why people are messaging you nothing.

There should be timestamps on Online/Offline/Away messages too.
