Hi there,

as the thread title says...
I wonder if the Steam versions are compatible to the new versions of Windows, too. Like the boxed version.
So are they already updated?

Can someone confirm this?

Thank You

Yes, I heard from a friend of mine that X2/X3/TC were already working on Win7 64 bit. When Egosoft talks about compatibility, it surely is referring to the newly re-released X:BTF.

I am having a problem with only one of the games on Windows 7, 64-bit - X-Tension. For some reason, I cannot get the game to open. The first "settings/compatibility" window opens correctly, but as soon as I click on Start game it goes to black screen and back to the desktop with the Windows message that the game had stopped working/checking for solutions. The other game titles run fine, including the first game, X: Beyond the Frontier, which has the same initial window as X - Tension. I'm still toying with X - Tension, and if I find a solution for starting it I'll post that in case others are having the same problem.

As far as I can tell, all five Steam versions of the game are updated to the latest versions.

Also, reading JaiX's post above, X3: Reunion runs fine for me with no problems whatsoever.
