Darksiders: "Horseman" Achievement doesn't register...

The Darksiders game the "Horseman" achievement where you have to kill 150 demons while on horseback simply doesn't register...
I've tried to achieve this in several ways to no avail. All the times I've closely monitored the kill counter and once I hit 150 kills horseback I do not receive the achievement...

Has anyone else had this problem? I really don't want to start another game.

* I have all other achievements which registered just fine (except the "BFA" one.

Horseman is a hidden achievement. If you look here you'll see all achievements, even hidden ones:

The hidden ones are the ones without a description.

Unfortunately Twinsen, I haven't heard of anyone fixing their achievement problems if one doesn't register properly. Someone had a problem with the "A True Horseman" one a few days back, and some other one wasn't working too for another person.

The only achievement what didn't registered for me was "Battle Hardened", because my steam connection was lost at some point. It was a few seconds, but I wasn't able to get it after maxing out my scyth. What did I do: exit game, restart steam, load last checkpoint before I've got last few kills for upgrade, and tadam, achievement unlocked. So I hope you have a save before you did your 150 kills.

It's not steam, it's the game. I have had many achievements in this specific game not unlock the first time. Including this one. Restarting steam and the game. And then reloading a save game before the trigger event seems to fix the problem. That is if you are lucky enough to have such a save.

"THQ has been looking into this issue and so far the developers have not found a fix.", is what I got when I submitted a ticket to THQ on this. I'm not even sure they're going to fix this personally. This is the last achievement I need as well, and my last save is a while back.

I have LOTS of achievements that didn't unlocked when I played the game a few months ago.
This is just one of many bugs this game has.

Confirming achievements do not unlock sometimes. Luckily I'm not an achievement ♥♥♥♥♥ or I'd be rather cranky :)

I have 100% of the achievements and if you want to get all of them then there is 2 things you must do from my experience:
1 - Never use shift-tab, it kills any chance of getting the achievements for some reason.
2 - Save before every achievement trigger, it will save you from having to play the game over and over again.

As for 'Horseman' as soon as you get Ruin go for the achievement, the first area with the zombies is the best place to farm. Chances are you've saved past the 150 kills therefore it won't trigger :(

I agree with PythonJones.

I also have 100%, but I had to play through the game 2 times, until I had them all. On my first playthrough some achievements didn't register, like some bosses that you have to kill. So save before triggering an achievement!
