I have activated 2 teleporter pads so far, but for some reason I cannot teleport between them both. Can anyone explain to me what I need to do to be able to move between them? Please.
I have activated the one near the tavern, in the main town where you have to get past the bridge and Brigands, by getting the guards stoned with the booze.
I also activated the one that is past the bridge, near a couple of large farms. I haven't got to any other towns yet. So i have 2 working.
they are activated, it says press Enter, which I do, then I get a message say to activate destination one, which I did. What am I doing wrong? Thanks :)

From what I have seen so far, in each area that you unlock, there are two teleports that you can use, but only between them. You have missed a teleport in the first area near the fisherman huts, and on in the Stewark area a bit further down the road, closer to the castle.
Now, why would one use a teleport to reach another one that is 15 seconds away (and with the fade in, fade out, loading and spawn animations it is faster to just run between them), rather than travel between areas, I have no idea.

A bit later into the game the teleport pads cover more distance. Such as Silverlake castle to the Orc Hideout and the mage tree to the temple (quests are centered around these two locations as well as being on either side of the map.)
Personally I rarely use the teleporters.

It's Like Neofit say's. Teleporter Pad A links to pad B but not to D. Pad D links to C only. If you missed B and activate C then you can't teleport anywhere. Personally I use the Rune of the Three/Seven winds to run places. When you have both runes (high rune and normal) you only have about 15 seconds down time between sprints.

I found and activated the fisherman teleporter, so now I have 3, but yes, 2 work great. I will activate the 4th one shortly.

About the runes, so far I have got to the castle where the baron is, and I only have 2 runes. Do i seem to have missed any? I heard that there are 2 levels of each runes to which there are 5 different runes in full, meaning that with 2 of each, it is 10 all up to collect.
You say there is a higher rune and normal, well i have the Normal running rune, and the flurry rune, which I think i got from adding skill points to flurry in skills. but i am not 100% sure about that.
Do you have to find all the runes in certain locations, or do they get added as you increase certain skills?? If you do have to find them, then could anyone tell me if there are any runes to be found in the Castle, where the Baron is, where Diego is in jail, please. Thanks.
PS: A location of where in the city it is would be great, but just in case no one remembers, please use spoiler settings, if there are any on this forum which I cannot find.
PSS: I have given every replyer on this post a rep point, so enjoy :)

I played almost all the game and I still didn't find any sense in Arcania's teleporters. there are runes for running faster, but still, it takes a lot of time to get from one point to another. right now for example I managed to run around the island like a mad cow, just to find the door to the crystal peak locked. it locks when you start the battle and it stays so, blocking further access to that part of the island forever, after you've left, because after you climb down from the mountains, you can't return that way either. so now what should one do, run like mad all the way back? or uninstall the game? since I played almost all of it, I chose the later :D if I had a decent teleporter who could have sent me back to the beginning, all would have been fine and I would have had interest in finishing the game :D anyway, it would have been better in fact, I believe, if you could cross the mountains and get from Any one point to Any other. easily. and fast. I really hate what they did to the old Gothic. Gothic was an open world game, Arcania is linear. bleah :P (but the graphics and the environment are spectacular, worth the boring quests. and many things have been streamlined and improved)
