I have a feeling the answer will be no, just as it was on Greed which killed that as a buy for me, but figured I'd best ask anyway. And if the answer is no I have to ask why?

I look at this game, which uses a grid for movement AND is turn-based, do not see anything that would prevent the use of a controller. And it's not like you would be forsaking the keyboard/mouse crowd by adding a secondary control scheme to it nor is it difficult to test. Heck, it would even give you the option to release it on a console if you so choose to do so.

Consider this, there are a LOT of people out there that either prefer using a controller or have a physical disability such as carpal tunnel that can't use a keyboard/mouse. And, as time goes on more and more people like this will pass on your games regardless of how good they may be and spend their money elsewhere. I mean is it really THAT hard for a developer to implement a control scheme via xinput?

Myself, the moment you guys add controller support I give my word here that I'll gladly buy even if it's the most terrible game ever. However, every time a game gets released that doesn't have it I'll spend that money on something else that does. :(

If controllers are a must for you to buy a game, I'd suggest getting a console.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer playing certain games with a controller, but to pass on every game that doesn't give you that option is a bit extreme.

Puuh, I have to talk with Carsten (our coder ;)) about that.
This is the first request we get. I know we had this in mind but then the time was too short. ;)

I too prefer controller support in games.

Personally, I hate controllers(mainly because of arthritis from using them too much when I was young). There are a few games that even I still prefer to use a controller with though.

That said, I have a friend who is at least as skilled as me on a controller but just can't seem to coordinate a keyboard and mouse due to a physical disability.

So, I get cheesed off when a PC game has poor mouse+keyboard support and he gets cheesed off when there's no/poor controller support.

From a programming stand point, adding controller support should be rather simple but integrating it into a control scheme that wasn't designed for it can be difficult or down right impossible. So, I can understand why it might not work for some games. However, I believe that every game should support as many control schemes as possible, for the reasons I already mentioned. For every set of controls you leave out of the game, you're leaving a group of gamers out in the cold. Sometimes it's unavoidable. All other times, it's just a shame.

For the people who are just too lazy to even try to use a keyboard and mouse, grow a pair and stop depriving yourself of gaming goodness. So what if you suck at using them; we all put our time in to learn it.

As a side note, this game made my wishlist but I currently have a huge backlog of bought and unplayed games. There's just so many games and so little time but I'll try to grab this later when my backlog is a bit less massive. Then again, Christmas is around the corner. ;)

Playing GT with a joystick would fit nicely with the gameplay, as we have always planned a console port.

Personally I would agree, that joystick support is not only a nice to have feature for a released PC product.

I will have to put it on the todo-list :)
