The game has an error as soon as i start a new game, right after it says this icon means its saving blah blah blah, it just has a "bm game has stopped working" error. Anyone know how to fix this?
First, verify the game cache - it's fairly common for a game to not download 100% properly and I had to grab an extra 250 MB after installing for it to work. Next, make sure you have latest sound and video drivers, plus PhysX installed, and you might want to install the latest versions of the Visual C++ runtime packages, DirectX and .NET framework just to make sure. Disabling any anti-virus software might help as well. Unfortunately, it's hard to pinpoint why errors like this occur, so all I can say for now is make sure everything is up to date.

I'm getting errors as well. Same thing as OP, Runtime Error. It plays the opening scene with the Batmobile with the Jokers and Bats inside and if you let it play or skip it crashes as soon as it is done. BmGame has stopped working pops up after the Runtime Error shows. I have the latest drivers. I'm running Win7 with 4GB RAM, Phenom II x4 with an ASUS 5700 series video card.

For what it's worth I rebooted my PC and when I restarted Steam it automatically started an update for the game that was around 100mb and it seems to be working fine now. I did check the cache at first and no problems there. Looks like it is fixed for me.

If you have physX set to high, it will crash on some pc's, you can fix this by going to your nvidia control panel and manually selecting your physX GPU
