Getting killed a lot

Playing the demo, and it's kind of hard (at med. diff.). Mostly because you can't dodge attacks, I guess, you can only move backwards VERY slowly.

Am I missing something regarding the control scheme?

And, is there an effective attack against these mechanoid enemies?

Well, purchased it anyway.
I will try to consider it a challenge! ;)

Well, generally you have to use your special abilities a lot, you shouldn't fight against many enemies at the same time (unless you are way stronger than them) and don't hesitate to run away and heal if you are wounded too much and can't use a potion or a healing ability. Also don't forget to check the level of your enemies before engaging them (using Combat Senses) - some of them are weaker than others.
