Hi there,
I had recently purchased a copy of the polynomial after playing the demo. The game does not even start up when i click the play button after installation, my profile changes to the playing game colour and then back to normal, which means that the game tries to start up but doesnt, there are no error messages and there is no log.txt file in the game directory.
I am running the game on a pc using windows 7 as an operating system.
PC specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz
4 Gb Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
Thank you if you can help me out in getting this game running

Try resetting your Nvidia graphic options to default. That fixed the loading issue for me.

I'm having an issue like this. The demo worked once, but now when i try it, it goes to a black screen, flickers, my graphics seems to crash, then its a white screen with a "not responding" message. The requirements say I need OpenGL: 2.1. Apparently I have 3.3, would that still work? I don't see how it would have ran the first time if it didn't.

Bloodycrow - Thanks for your input but sadly that didnt work as it still wont start up.
Avernikas - I know my problem isnt an OpenGL problem and at least it is showing that it is creating a window and flickering, mine doesnt even create a window nor even make the screen change at all.

Odd question but did you reboot since? (as in really reboot, not suspend to disk and start). Demo/full really do not remember a lot of stuff. And as far as graphics goes, demo is identical to full.
For opengl, yes, anything >=2.1 is good, anything <2.1 is bad.
Try start the game yourself from its installation folder (in Program Files/Steam/SteamApps or the like)

I had rebooted and i had also tried starting the game from the installation folder and it still hasnt worked. I did have the demo but i did delete its local content before I bought the game.

Actually nevermind that I had somehow got it working. Thanks to all for your help.

I have had similar issues with other steam games. It turned out Windows 7 needed it to run the game in administrator mode (Right click .exe, Run as Administrator).
