I decided (on a whim, I LOVE steam sales...) to purchase Red Faction: Guerrilla. I can play most any Source game, which is all I have bought so far, on mid- to high setting, though i prefer lower just for a speed boost. I can run Left 4 Dead 2 at the moment being my most recent game. Ummm.. I have a AMD processor, and run windows 7 on a laptop I bought this summer.
Nevermind, It works... sorta...
I can play demolition mode just fine, but if I try to play the campaign, it wont accept any movement/action inputs. Like he just stands there and I can make him look around, but nothing else.
Any help?

That ur laptop can play most source engine based games doesn't mean "anything". What about ur CPU&grafic card??
AMD processor, win7 ..........please be specific. ;)

The system requirements are listed on the store page. Just check your CPU, system memory, video memory and rough GPU generation versus the requirements.

What are your system specs? It sounds like you can and its almost all down to CPU + GFX card, but remember that even though some source games are new, the engine is pretty old now (even with the updates).

It's a scripted event. You stay there and listen to your bro.

Ya, but even after he stops? I left it for like 5 mins. and it stayed the same (not being able to move that is, it didn't freeze)

Check out the rest of the forum. This bug has been mentioned in a thread on the first page, AFAIK there's no solution yet but you can try to verify your game cache.

Also, consider sending a message to volition/thq they may be able to help even if they haven't globally patched it!
