View Full Version : Trine coming to the Mac (with SteamPlay)

This is a short and sweet post: Trine is coming to the Mac platform, and it will be released as a SteamPlay title. I know there's a bunch of people here who have been waiting for a native Mac version, and that's becoming a reality now. :)
The Mac version will be added to the Steam library in November (sorry, no exact date).
And for those so inclined, there's another thread here (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1538278) where we look for some volunteer beta testers before the release.
I hope this is good news. :)

Trine 2 will be coming to Mac should everything go as we hope/assume, but I can't say for sure if it's going to be a simultaneous release with the PC and console versions - but it shouldn't take too long in any case. We're getting more familiar with the platform now and hopefully things go smooth. We'll know better next year. :)

It's still a long way to go though, but I hope this helps. :)

Just to let you FB guys know - I have a Mac and a PC. I don't game on my Mac, really, but strangely, only after you released the Mac version, I went and bought it.
Maybe it's strange reasoning, but for me it's about freedom of where and how I game and with cloud save, I'm hoping to play some on a PC at home and maybe resume on my MBP during longer work trips?

That's the ideal situation, but at the moment Trine has some issues with cloud saving (and launching the Mac version in general, but that's going to be fixed in a matter of hours). We thought it was working at one point but now I think they are currently separate somehow. Once we get the launch issues fixed I'll try to see what's going on with the cloud. (Thanks for the support though! If the prospect of not being able to use cloud disappoints you greatly and would have affected your purchase, let me know and I can see what I can do.)
