Planes Stuck in Place on Spawn

Occasionally I will spawn in, and be stuck in place. I can still fire, and all the animations(looping, barrel roll etc) still appear correct I just do them all in place. Everything acts as normal except for the part where my position never changes. I actually managed to get gold on a level by firing while stuck in place. This has happened to me 3 or 4 times all in the past hour of playing, and all in single player tournament mode but on different levels. I have also experienced the same phenomenon happening to the bots. It makes them very easy targets. It's not a show stopping problem since dying or restarting usually fixes it, but it really breaks immersion.

Hi Alrecenk,

We are aware of this very annoying bug even though it kept quiet for quite a while. You say it is happening on tournament mode only but i'm wondering if it occurs on any other gameplay modes since the latest patch?

If anyone else is having problems with stalling player/bot planes in anything else than tournament then feel free to mention it so we can get it fixed asap.

Also, the next time the planes are frozen, whether it be tournament or not would you send us a copy of your runtime.log, that can help us narrow these problems down.

I also had problems on my first experience. Whole map I was respawning at same place, I was stuck. The level was like an Arabian map, desert.

i saw someone being stuck in a death match on the vulcano. about 7 hours ago.

Havent seen it for yonks but CTF on Dirtbox was where I saw it. Cured by relogging.

I am also having this problem on all game types. can't move. Controls on both keyboard/mouse and x360 controller do nothing.

"runtime.log" (do a search in your Steam folder)

and

"dxdiag.txt" (START->RUN->"dxdiag"->Save)

I can understand this happening online since the game obviously isn't updating plane positions anymore once you lose connection to the server but in Single Player?...that's just strange...

'Been getting stuck on TDM and DM. Usually goes with a server crash though too.
