This game comes with a computer virus I saw during a anti virus scan.

no thanks, I am going to try and get a refund from steam instead of letting one game destroy my computer.

It's obviously your anti-virus falsely identifying it as a virus......

Have you never heard of false positives before? No A/V is perfect thats why you are given the option once a suspected virus is detected as to what you want the A/V to do with it. By all means be vigilant but use common sense as well.;)

I currently have three games that have false flags on them running Microsoft Security essentials. Splinter Cell, Beyond Good and Evil, Riven. They aren't viruses. I had more under AVG but after checking them out I knew they were false. Steam is very secure and doesn't pack viruses into their games. It's very bad business to jarateoff 30,000,000 customers.

PS: The game looks interesting. Hummmmmm

Read here, this game contains an exe that could take your steam account and password then sell it on ebay which is against the EULA.

I agree this game looks interesting but I got a refund or a credit, same thing I guess. I hope this developer can resolve the issue because it kept me from keeping the game or being able to recommend it.

Huh? Where does it say "Doom Rails" takes your steam account and password and sells it on ebay???

As others have said, some A/V programs falsly identify something in a few games as a virus. Happens to me in Medal of Honor (I use AVG). Once I disable Resident Shield the game plays fine. I doubt EA is encouraging their developers to put viruses in the code of their games. I'm sure it's the same case here.

Add the game (or the entire folder) as an exception. Most decent antivirus programs will let you do that. I had to tell mine to ignore the Steam folder because it kept trying to scan everything all the time.
