View Full Version : Shank won't run!!

Everytime I try to run Shank I get a dialog box that says it's performing first time setup... Installing: Activation Manager (step 1 of 1)

Then I get an error popup that says the following:

Application Error
Exception EAccessViolation in module activation.x86.dll at 0027d3d2. Access violation at address 6ffdd3d2 in module 'activation.x86.dll'. Read of address 00b92000.

I have verified the game files and redownloaded the game and no change.. sucks that I can't play this game!

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Oh.. running Win7 64bit.. all other games run ok on steam.

I'm having sort of the same problem except mine doesnt even connect to activision. I've even tried manualy activating the game trough the site but i cant, i preordered Shank over steam and now i cant play what i payed for... it's annoying

What does shank have to do with activision? lol

It's ACTIVATION, not ACTIVISION.
Also the guy there contact the windows support. They will gladly help you.

oh yea sorry i meant activation but misstyped because i was looking at some activision game x) my mind was a bit off...
anyway i finnaly got it working with some help from friends in the US, apparenlty EA didnt let me activate the game because my country isnt supported (wtf.) and since the friend is from US he managed to so now it works fine.
