Pretty impressed with the game so far. I can do without the grinding though, although I can see who the target RPG players this was intended for.
The only question I have is, is there a file like an .ini file or something where can I can change the character run speed to maybe like 1.5x or 2x?

so...nobody knows (or doesn't mind) "slowly" running across one side of the map to the other?
There's got to be a value you can change?

Actually from what I have played of the game, I may be 3/4ths of the way through it. The levels are really really small compared to most games and I wondered about increased speed, but I am fairly accustomed to it by now.
If you don't like the running, wait till you get to the Labyrinth, one hint, it is a Labyrinth. And its dark, and one other hint, you have to figure out how to light it up on your own.
Also, much of the quests in this game is much on your own, even the heroes notes don't give exact details. So this game is somewhat different than other games because of the more vague quest details. Don't know if that was intended or not.
I was also considering looking for an ini file to edit, because some of the keys that I changed go back to default every time I start the game.

red7204: Yes, these a little bit "vague" quest details were intended. We wanted players to read the dialogs carefully and think about their tasks for some time. I think that in most RPGs if an NPC tells you that he will help you for some wine only, you would get a sub-quest "Get the wine" with a red dot on the map and an arrow on your compass, but that's exactly what we didn't want to do.
Bunny Slippers: Unfortunately not, you cannot change the speed of your movement in any .ini file. While testing, we used a cheat for this, but cheats were disabled in the retail version. And they were useful cheats, that's for sure - fast movement, immortality, anyone-who-touches-you-dies-instantly, quick kill on the distance, get all items/abilities - that sort of things.
