Cannot pick up item (game stopping bug/spoiler)

In the graveyard I am unable to pick up the flies from the urn. It appears to be a known bug (search google for this game plus "cannot get flies") that is not fixed. It doesn't seem to happen to everybody but buyer beware. I've redownloaded the game and revalidated it to no avail. I'll reply here if it ever seems to get fixed.

[edit] - i just found out you have to use the black netting that you picked up. does that work?

Nope. When I press space bar to see areas I can interact with I do see a hand icon above the urn. But when I move my mouse above the urn, the walk icon is shown to go through the gate.

It's unfortunate because I did find the game pretty fun until this point.

Maybe if you dont get the flies anyway, then you can download the savegamefile after that flies thing.
