i already have the original theator of war on steam if the i get the collection can i transfer one of my theator of wars to a friend. or do i eat the one of them....

also, Theatre of War: Battle for Caen DLC is not part of the collection? and is only 10% off, what is that...

When you buy collections, so far in my experience, you do not get a secondary copy to trade away. Especially when it's on sale on Steam. They don't make money that way.

There is a list of the games that can be gifted if you get a collection and already own one. Its mostly only Valve titles.

If I had bought hard copies at a store I can give extra copies away.
If you buy a duplicate copy on steam - they have been paid for it - so why stop you sharing it...? :confused:

In fact it's better for steam if you do share - with a hard copy you can go to a lot of places to buy the next game in a series. But if you are on steam playing your freebie - steam already has your attention for advertising & you are part of the community - which makes you a pretty strong candidate for becoming a future customer.

Steam is wasting a good marketing opportunity here IMO. And it reduces the potential numbers for multi-player - I'd like to give a spare copy to a friend so we can play online together....
