Why Microsoft doesn't release Capcoms patch

Microsoft's Games for Windows LIVE is competing with Valve's Steam.
Why would MS release a patch to help steam users. They want people to stop using Steam!

Just a theory. People at MS are smart, no other reason for the delayed patch.

Capcom is GFWL's customer, Steam and GFWL hold certain shares of the sales market for Capcom. GFWL won't jarate off there customer and risk losing that customer, effectively forfeiting the sales that they do make.

Abusing a customer in the interest of defeating a competitor is bad business and will likely end up in the loss of a good customer. Anyone who owns/operates/manages any business knows this.

Capcom confirmed mulityple times that the patch will be there.
Capcom also said that it was their fault that they patch is taking so long but that ms is no working on it.

GFWL is crap. Microsoft is crap. just because the OS is yours doesn't mean you can involve yourself in every industry in any possible way. ffs, keep it at that console of yours.
