I need help to find out how to contact people on stations for X BtF

I cannot believe me of all people actually having to ask this question with all the X games I have beaten, and all the history I know of them.

But this is the 1st time I ever played X BtF, and I wish to know how do you get factory missions, like cargo runs for e-cells etc. Is there any factory quests at all, as even with my controls guide, it shows nothing how to contact people in a station or how to get given a quest?

Could someone tell me if there are any factory missions or is there just the main storyline missions? If there are factory missions, then how do you get them?

I've not played any X except XBTF, but there is no missions for factories.
If you want to have crystal for batteries you need to buy them yourself from Crystal Fab. But with rest buildings you can order ships which will buy things here and there.
But no any quests from buildings at all. I think quests for buildings starting from XT.

In XBTF only storyline missions.
