i am not sure what people are all moaning about this game for. i have no lag and the graphics are just the same as modern warfare 2 or if they are not there is very little difference.

unless you are playing on a low end pc i guess. i have a ati 5870 and a pheonom 2 x4 965 and the game plays just the same for me as the last one.

i hope you guys can sort out all you problems and play ok, but it is not the game thats crap.

lets hope they bring out patches to help you.

There is very few people like you that it is working for, and the problems are different for instance mine is only unplayable in multi, and the sp is fine, but there are lots that it is unplayable in both, its not pc problems, many people are having the same problem with top end pcs and the people with low end pc's its a software problem, you are literaly only the second person i have seen that said they dont have a problem

I think this is truly a GREAT game, its multiplayer is sooo awesome mw2 seems like trash compared. but the stuttering still makes it impossible to play for me and a lot of others. sad.gif

Easily meets requirements and FPS are good (40 - 60) with everything maxed out, so it's definitely the game, NOT my computer!

I have freezing problems and connections problems got a decent enough gfx card (GTX285) and a decent enough cpu (Q9550 2.83) but the game is simply unplayable for me atm the moment, I just had some guy literally appear out of nowhere only saw him as his knife was going through me and the freezing lasts up to 30 seconds and i have no idea where i am when i unfreeze

Horrendous performance issues for me m8, i can play these games on High settings:

MW 1+2, WAW, MoH, Splinter Cell Conviction. The only game that i own that suffers is BF:BC2 and now BO.

I guess I am not going to buy another UBI soft game if this is the kind of game I get from them. I have a high spec rig and this lag is something I haven't seen in a loooooong time. If this is the quality of their QA process where 99% of the players complain of lag then some people need to be fired all the way up the chain. Steam should implement a resolution procss where we can get our money back if the games are this damn unplayable.

Plays fine for me! you will always have more people complaining in the forum that it doesn't work than those which it does. Simply fact is if it runs fine your busy playing the game, if not your in here complaining!

I have ran it with a Phenom 2 560(I unlocked the other 2 cores)Its runs fine with 2 cores or the 4 when unlocked.I did a bit of experimenting :).Also running a ATI HD 6870 with 8 gigs ram and windows 7 64bit.

Just because it runs fine for you, doesn't mean that it will for everybody.

I have what you've called a "low end machine." I have an Intel Core2Duo 1.86 Conroe chip, 8800GTS 768mb GPU, and windows XP 32bit. On max settings and 4x AA and 4x As I get 60 - 90 fps, so I average about 75FPS. This is find and playable.

Here's where you're not understanding what's going on. People that have I7s or AMD equal, latest greatest video cards, and Windows7 are having real issues. Their computers should run this at 150+ fps with my settings, but yet they're getting 30 fps or well below.

I believe this to be a real issue for them, or there wouldn't be so many posts about it. Moreover, my son's laptop has a pretty fair ATI dedicated video card, and I7, and Windows 7 64 bit, and his laptop doesn't run the game as well as my aged desktop. It's playable, but he's only getting 30 to 60 fps.

If you look at the number of post and views through out these forums, it's easy to see that a very small percentage of people are experiencing problems. Sorry guys but the numbers don't lie. However being truthful instead of just being trolls would help as well. It's the same names over and over that keep spewing nonsense. 60 or 70 people complaining doesn't set much of a trend. However the developers have said they will keep working on fixes even if only 100 people are having problems. So I guess there's still hope for these few frustrated peeps. Each patch with the exception of one, has made the game better. It's now in a better state of game play than MW2 ever was. Sorry for those still struggling, but negativity gets you nothing but a back seat on the bus. It seems the only ones still having problems are the ones that are far more qualified to design and develop games. You would think that all these experts that keep bashing the game would offer some advice instead of just saying how stupid everyone else is.

one thing i will definately say is that you need to change 1 setting in your nvidia CP that is

prefered rendering mode set to PREFER MAXIMUM PREFORMANCE that way it will use your card to its full advantage it boosted my fps in game.

I'm glad I'm not one,game runs sweet for me so far hope it stays that way.

There are thousands of people with rigs that can play SP and Zombies, they just don't have rigs to play well on multi player. Since release day there has only been a little over 250K people even come and looked at the BO's area of the forums, far less have posted. The game has already netted over a billion dollars, do you really think your negative trolling is putting a dent in that? Hardly. Honestly dude, if you need help ask for it. Complaining does nothing.

You don't need to be an expert to figure out that 100 fps on i7 is ridiculously LOW. I get 50-60 fps on my c2d and I consider that low for a ID tech 3 engine. And please don't tell me how this is modified engine and that crap. The game has one of the worst textures ever with 0 physics.

The thing with BO is, that for some people it won't work correctly even after a few patches came out with no chance of getting your money back! The numbers are irrelevant, they can be interpreted in any way you want.
And I'd like to now why the MP part of the game should run worse than the SP part. The graphics are the same...

Exactly my first thought when i read this topic.


By the way i've checked the fps difference between combat training and multiplayers for my situation.
- Combat training i get on average 50-60fps, but it can go up to 110fps when looking at a wall and sometimes drops to 40 when theres more action. But never lower and no stutters no matter what the action.
- On multiplayer i get 40-50 fps and sometimes depending on the situation/map up to 60-80fps and looking at a wall around 100. But i have alot of fps drops to 20-30 (or lower?) which make my game just lag and stutter badly.

Last few days the fps drops and also sound stutter have becoming worse again up to the point of unplayable. Dont know if anyone else noticed/had this increase too? Snd_restart only helps for a few seconds on the sound issue then.

So clearly there is something wrong with the multiplayer part. And people that accept and defend that you need expensive high-end hardware that has the power of multiple consoles are just out of their mind. This game is build on an old engine and runs fine on 6 year old xbox 360 tech. And even at its introduction the consoles hardware was already outdated by PC hardware.
Devs are just incredibly lazy and dont optimize for the PC. They just port it inefficiently and then just stamp on the required hardware to run the game with brute force. For the consoles they spend years of dev time to optimize the game. I do understand that its more cost efficient not to optimize it all the way on PC hardware, but how game devs do it now is ridiculous. The game wont even run on hardware that is WAY beter than the xbox 360.

And whats the problem with bringing out patches for simple stuff like contracts, perk, knife lunge, gun balances. No microsoft/sony to deal with and no game engine tweaks and problems to encounter there...
It really baffles my mind how they work at treyarch.

Yeah combat training alone will not give you big fps difference. Problem is in that specific fps lag/stuttering while on server (especialy when shooting) which is not existent in combat training.

Problem lies on server overloading because there is no reason why my game sometimes work ok and sometimes it's unplayable due to lag. Also people are reporting they had increase of lag/stuttering lately.

So yeah that specific stuttering is server related, not client related.

That is simply called: "we don't give a fu*k, you will get it at some point, stop complaining". And then they wonder why more and more people pirate.

As I said in previous threads, tomorrow is 80 day since consoles got those tweaks like knife, sniper, perk, dolly cam, contracts etc. 80 days comrades!
