i bought a new computer and reinstalled cod2 but i cant play the multiplayer becuase i do not have the steam cd key anymore. does anyone know how or where i can get or find it . thank you

Install steam (if it is not already on the system.

Right click on Call of Duty in the Steam LIBRARY, and select 'View Game CD Key'

If you purchased the game on Steam it is there 100% of the time and ready for your use.

Right click on Call of Duty in the Steam LIBRARY, and select 'View Game CD Key'

This is one game that doesn't have that. When you "install" (download) the game and the "play" for the first time (install) it puts all the keys in the registry where they need to be.

If you go to multiplayer and check your CD key and it's not there and you need it. Come back and I'll tell you where and how to get it from the registry.

This is true for Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2
