MW2 release
Server to busy
Slow download speeds
People unable to play online that quickly.
Game not unlocking.
Rage because retail users could play earlier.
Pretty much had the same issues. So IW didn't do much better at launch.

Nah... IW are patting blackops developers on the back...
Release of MW2 was TERRIBLE - you couldn't even download the game (well, you could... at modem speed!)

But now they are the ones that get to point and laugh, when treyarch's major PC selling point was dedicated multiplayer servers...which is a flop...blops flops

are people really jumping into the multiplayer before doing the singleplayer? You guys make me feel old... seriously. Back in the day we only jumped on multiplayer (when there was one) weeks after playing and replaying the single player campaign and reading the game manual which had character profiles and backgrounds, map info, hints and tips and other cool easter eggs.
damn, i really feel old now.

My entire steam just went offline :(
I go to play Balck Ops multiplayer and when i click "Play" it says no internet connection can be established :(
i think this problem is on Valve's end, not Activision's, but i am a bit forgiving. Probably about 8 million people world wide all logging in. I have faith that we will be playing this game as quick as possible.

This makes no sense. Modem speed is determined by the limit from your ISP and the limit of the unit itself. Unlikely to be more than 1000Mbps.
Unless you mean an analogue to digital modem, ie dial-up

It's not like there's much of a choice right now, it sounds like you either don't get to play the game at all or you play a really laggy single player. Multiplayer sounds like it's falling apart.
... Mine's still defragging that last damn 1%.

Treyarch has always been a ♥♥♥♥ty team. Dedicated servers only work if you have a great title.

Black ops aint no Counterstrike.
Even with its balance issues, I would totally pick MW2 over black ops if it had dedis. Dedicated servers are the cookies a good community munches on. It doesnt even have to be a good game in itself. Just one of those games that works well with that.
