What are your three 'best' achievements?

Why three? just an arbitrary number.

So, thanks to temp_anon linking to an interesting page in another thread, I decided to start this thread.

Step one: go here

If it doesn't have you logged into your Steam account, you'll have to log in then click the link again to get there.

Step Two: understand the page

Pretty simple, achievements are sorted from top to bottom of the page in accordance with how many Civ5 players have that achievement.
You are on the right side of the page, if you have it then it will match the left, if you don't then it will be a lock image.

Step Three: look around, goof off and check it all out.

Don't worry, I'll wait for you.
Only 93% have found an ancient ruin?! lol
And that is the most achieved achievement.
Done?

Step Four: go to the very bottom of the page.
You should see a lot of locked achievements, that nobody has yet.

Step Five: slowly scroll up and copy down the name of the first three achievements you come across that you actually have.
Post 'em in response to this thread.


Bonus Round: Go back to the top (the most achieved) and slowly scroll down... the first achievement you don't have, copy that and post it as well. That will be you 'fail' achievement, lol. The one that others have but you haven't gotten around to yet.

Beat the game on any difficulty setting with each leader. 0.4%

Seriously, only .4%? This was the very first thing I went for.

Flawless Strategy
Beat the game on the Deity difficulty level. 0.8%

Conquest of the World
As Alexander, defeat every known player by 350 BC.

I tried this one on Settler/Duel and killed the only other player, but I didn't get the achievement. Is it bugged?

Also, I know I've hit the Magellen thing multiple times but never gotten it.

Glad I'm not the only one to like this achievements idea, shame the SDK does not allow us to create new ones - the validity could be voted on by the community (e.g. first sub under the ice).

P.S. would like to know how this is monitored by Steam as I have completed a number of others but they dont show - in the beginning when I had a very bad connection.

Achievements are monitored by the game checking for the criteria, and if met it then sends a flag to your Steam client and the client then notifies the servers, which then activates the appropriate flag in your profile.

If you meet the criteria for an achievement, there are three culprits:

1) Game
- doesn't notify Steam client
- doesn't actually check for the criteria, such as Megallen's Voyage

2) Steam Client
- variable being sent by game isn't 'acceptable' to the client

3) Steam Servers
- variable being sent by client isn't 'acceptable' to the server
- poor connection corrupts the transfer
- lag or crash loses information

As a note, achievement updating on your profile could take a while sometimes... I had one achievement not actually listed on my achievements list for three days.

Again and again.. ok - for the last time:
Its not bugged. You must destroy all their cities, than their capital. If you distroy directly only the capital city, you will not receive the achievement.
