I bought 2 copies for me and a friend before I noticed that. It seems likely that Steam will remove them from our accounts or something.

The reasons it was banned seem ridiculous to me. The same content in Fallout New Vegas didn't see it get banned. Off screen sex, dancing hookers, swearing, and fake name drug use abounds in FNV.

edit: Risen is on Aussie Steam servers. I use a tool to restrict which servers it can DL content from, but Risen is still maxing my 8MBit connection out. Awesome.

Well once I had a glitch happen on my account. Which resulted in more gifts (extra games) than it should have been. I contacted Steam support, explained everything and at the end they didn't remove the extra copy. So hopefully they won't remove Risen :(

The thing is with this is Steam just don't seem to understand Aussie law. They aren't located in australia, the store is in the US (hence why all the currency is in $US). Therefore there is ABSOLUTELY no need to stop us from having access to it on here. The classification laws effect the SALE of games in Aust not the POSSESION of games (with the exception of WA where it effects both)

Hopefully steam will be sensible and not ban us from having a game we are allowed to have due to a stupid policy of theirs. Forcing us to buy and download from another website (which is where I got Risen and played and loved it).
