It's happening to me ever since I got the game. >(

I already port forwarded the code to my router but nothing changed so IDK.

For the last 5 days I've not been able to enter any server.

The map loads, gets to "waiting for players" , it just stalls there for about 10 seconds then back out to the main menu , saying its lost connection to the host.

I've tried everything possible, nothing works.

It must be a bug with only some hardware, and not others maybe.

I hope the patch sorts it out.

I got mine to work! I was using a wireless router/cable modem that I got form the cable company (a 2-in 1 deal). On the network I use an xbox 360, and another computer.
I plugged in another cable modem I had that didn't have the wireless modem built in and now the game runs great. So I think it could be interfarce from the xbox 360, or from the DemonwarePortMapping.

I hope the patch (http://www.changeformat.net/change-google-video-format/change-google-video-to-sony-nwz-e445.html) sorts it out.
It helps me out of the problem, Many thanks to your description!

i had the problem then tweaked some router settings. got it to where it rarely ever happened for good amount of time. now the past week(i think since last patch) it has become a major problem again. for me it doesnt happen when maps load but randomly when playing.
if it is happening when you load maps turning off shader warming might help.
i really dont think there is anything else i can do on my end. i have the best cable internet i can buy(55mbps down 5.5 up) i have a linksys e3000 router which was the best router i could buy when it came out not that long ago. its just a ♥♥♥♥ game made buy an inept developer that has no idea what they are doing(unless its an xbox)

when they ported it to PC they forgot to edit the words it should say "lost connection to server"

I was having same issues and saw a post the said disabling shader warming cures the problem. Sure as s*** it fixed it for me.

I could connect to some servers but would get out for not connecting to steam and interrupted connection.

Yep.. Since the last patch i cant user shader warming.
Disable this and it works well. ( besides some stuttering short after joining the server).
Also you could try to install newest GPU drivers. Worked for me the last time this happened. ( the patch, they implemented shader warming )

yes, shader warming is the cause of this.

you have to disable it and deal with the GFX loading for the first little bit when you join the map.

funny, the patch says "slight shader warming speed increase"
no, 3arc... speed increase means it goes faster, not slower...
