A couple questions about the game.

Ok first one is how much is the monthly cost.2nd Do they have trial cards at like gamestop and 3rd how good is the population?

1. $15/month
2. You get a free month with a paid subscription, and you can get a trial from an subscribed player (five hours, three days, or level 7 are the limits I believe: not at all capable of giving an accurate representation of anything other than the graphics, unfortunately).
3. It depends on the server you pick, and the faction on that server. All the servers except Nezekan (the Oceanic time zone one) where merged several months ago, roughly doubling the population on each server, and with 2.0 not so far in the rear-view mirror, and 2.1 having come out within the past week, a lot of new people are coming in, on every server. There's rarely a shortage of chatter in LFG, and groups are pretty easy to find (at least on the Asmodian side of Siel; suppose I can't speak for anywhere else).

I'd suggest just go with whatever your time zone's specified server is, and then read up on the lore to decide who you want to play. You'll be more interested that way. So many people just went "OOH I WANT A FURRY SPINE AND GLOWY EYES" and picked Asmo, or said the opposite and picked Elyos.
