armor ????

is there armor in this game. I have played for over 10 hours and can't seem to get any. my guy is still bare foot. I just got into harbour town and I have the same clothes on my back from the shipwreck at the beginning. My boy needs some new duds guys.:eek:

There's some workers clothes you can purchase in the Bandit Camp for 500 Gold, so far that's all I've been able to find.

Bandit King has also alluded to an armour based reward in my future, but I don't trust him

There is some you can boost out of a farmer's chest as well.

Factions give you an armour when you side with one.

The farmers south of Jan have some "Seaman's Clothes" you can steal from them.
In Harbour Town, another armor becomes available through progression.
Each faction will award you some armor as you progress on their quests

Armor isn't "found", really. You earn it... It's a way the developers use to keep you doing the main story line. You have to do it if you want to survive bigger baddies :)

There is very little armor in the game and you get most of it way late in the game.

Once you get that first leather hat you feel like a million bucks though :)

I got officer's clothing in Harbortown. Then I upgraded to workers clothes from the Don's camp. Now I'm wearing Hunter Armor which became available after joining the Don's faction.

I would be happy with just some boots. I feel like bruce willis from die hard;). I have been running around in rags for 12 hours now. not really sure what the main quest is. just kind of made it to the bandit camp then started doing their quests and exploring hoping to find some new duds. i am in harbor town now. thanks for the info folks.

I thought the same thing, armor is the second thing I look for after a good weapon but it is just hard to find.

Get a good shield to deflect blows. As for armor... don't get hit!

good news guys/gals.... got officer clothes in harbor town from costa. with my luck will have it for the rest of the game but at least for the next 13 hours he'll have a different look and shoes. ++++++ :)

500 gold will get you worker's clothes from the Don's camp. They're twice as good as officer's clothes.

I found a leather helmet in chapter 1. It's in a chest in some castle ruins near the monastery.

500 gold????!!!!! :rolleyes: they really want you to cherish the clothes you get, well mission accomplished. the armor on the cover for the game must be something you get in the last 2 minutes of the game.:p

The best armor are really just givin to you after you complete a certain quest.

Me: "Cool, can I get some decent armor?"
Don: "Sure! That'll be 2000 gold, cash or credit?"

Tip regarding armor if you go bandit:


Don't waste your gold buying the fighter armor as an upgrade from the hunter armor. As soon as the Don promotes you to fighter he is going to go back to the harbor town to his villa. Go there straight away and talk to him again and he will promote you to captain and you can buy the better captain armor instead. I had so much gold at that time that it really didn't matter, but it still made me a bit mad regardless.

I felt this way too, so I just cheated and gave my character the money for the armor.
