I just bought it, because I thought pffft looks like a good game to spend 10-20minutes.
But it does not even launch...so I don't know whats up.

Edit: got the game running, purely awesome game :D
Worth the 5$ imo.

I allready got the game on my iPod wich I love.
Though I don't play a lot on my iPod but now it's on PC... AWSOME :)
Realy worth the few bucks you have to pay.
It's just great fun and time goes pretty fast with this game.
Only played for 41 minutes now while I was only gonna check out if it ran :p

Well can't missbuy for $5/€4

Flight Control is a great game. I have played it a lot on an iPhone and I am eagerly awaiting the Android port (being doing by Namco though). Also it is an Australian developed game so the more sales the better!

Got this on my iPad, fun/addicting casual game.

Saw that it was coming to Mac after the Mac App Store was announced and here it is for both Mac & PC with steamcloud! Gonna pick this up soon.

I love air traffic control games of all sorts. Nice to see a high quality Steam one, as opposed to ancient DOS games or some sort of web based flash game. :)

This game reminds me of Steambirds as far as the 2d overhead view and controls seem to be (just watched the video in steam as of yet).

It's awesome, really. I got it on my iPhone and I'm about to buy it for my PC and (soon-to-be-bought) Mac as well via Steam. :) ($2.5 for PC and $2.5 for Mac, when it'll be $5 for Mac in the Mac App Store? Sold!)

So far really enjoying it, I do hope that it will get updated with more maps eventually and possibly even more planes, maybe adding in a few more colours, different style of maps etc, but for like £2, can't really complain :)

How are the controls? On the Iphone you use the touchscreen, but on the PC? Is there support for the XBOX360 controller?

Could someone please try to explain how the controls work (do you use mouse and keyboard or only mouse, etc.?).

pretty much just use the mouse to draw lines that the planes travel along... which is really fun. You can press the F key to speed up time, but that's about it for the keyboard.

Thanks for your answer. Is it easy to draw the lines, is there any help to make sure the lines are steady/straight? I'm think of drawing with a mouse in Windows Paint which was always a major pain.

Bought it yesterday and been playing it practically every hour. Really fun time-waster/relaxer. I'm glad it was priced at $5 cuz that's my main impulse buy price point.

I freaking hate those helicopters, especially when a jet or priority plane spawns immediately right behind them and there's no time to the crash

I also wish the fast forward was mappable to right-click, so I wouldn't have to use the keyboard at all.

Lines don't need to be straight at all, just pick a plane and drag a path anyway you want. Much of the time you'll be looping planes around to avoid crashing anyway. And there's an option for touchpads (haven't used it though so i can't say how great it is).

I can't see myself playing this for hours and hours at a time, but it's a really nice game when I want a break from Fallout: New Vegas and the like.

Have you used the fast forward button on the lower left of the screen?

Great game. The wife and I are loving it...

Steam Store -> Genre -> Casual :)

You can also check out the top sellers list in that genre, should give you a fair idea of whats popular (and good).

Controls are entirely with the mouse. There's a trackpad option you can enable so that you click once to activate the plane then draw your line to the end point versus click and drag to draw your line. Very entertaining casual game :)

Thanks for your answer, friedfandango :)

Another question concerning the controls: is it possible to use a controller, eg the XBOX360 controller? If so, could anyone tell if it is more enjoyable than using the mouse?

Not sure about using an xbox 360 controller since I'm using it on my computer lol

Suppose you could if you configured the controller for a mouse in controller options, but what would be the point? it is point and click, nothing quicker than the mouse, xbox/ps3/2 would be too slow. A wii controller might be interesting on a big screen though.

you know you can use a 360 controller on your PC?

the game requirements should state whether it supports a controller, like Braid does, while others will list it on the right like Worms Reloaded does.

ozgeek

This game is very impossible to control with a gamepad. Can you draw a line with a controller? This game requires you to draw lines to direct planes into runways. How can you do that with a 360 controller? you'd have to be so good at using a Etch A Sketch to play this game using a controller.

I think it is a great game. Well worth the $2.49 sale price at the moment.

I found it really attractive. Bought this game today and it already ate my 4 hours. At least, it's fun to get all achievements - some of'em quite challenging, but all beatable.
