I was trying for a while to get this game to run, uninstalled, reinstalled a couple of times with no result. Then found a help page on the games wesite which worked (Windows7x64) This is for the repeated error "Launcher has experienced an error. Please restart this application"
Control panel> uninstall programs>uninstall League of legends (delete all League of legends folders from Steam folder too)
Delete any other League of legends files on your computer. (i had some in my downloads folder)
Uninstall / Delete Pando Media booster (everything)
Uninstall / Delete Adobe Air (everything)
Download & use CCcleaner to fix registry (or another good program if you have it)
Restart PC
Go to Website & download installer for the free game. Save it to desktop or somewhere. (I'm at EU so went to EU League of legends website and selected EU download)
Create a folder just on your C drive named Riot Games or similar, and point the installer to install the game here. Do not install League of Legends to Program Files, or any Windows user account specific folders!
Let game install, click finish and play!
Once in the game go to shop, click codes at the bottom and enter your Steam key for goodies :D (you may have to start the game install through steam games list for a moment to get your game key, but you can stop the download & delete it again once you have copied the game key!)
