I gave my parents this game, as they both enjoy games of this type.
But, is it possible to switch playerprofiles in game, so they can submit highscores separately?
Or will I have to create a Steam account for each, and purchase the game twice?

Hi guys, unfortunately this isn't possible in the current version of Flight Control HD on Steam, only one Steam account can post to the Leaderboard per account.

Any plans to implement something like this in future versions?

I figured as much, this is probably more of a Steam limitation, than a developer chosen one.
Lucky that the game is as cheap as it is :)

Even a different player profile would do, that way you could see whoever was playing on your account, ie: yourself, your better half, your kids, your parents etc.

It should be possible. Let me give you some instructions... Disable the Steam cloud function. Your games must be stored locally. Play a little then exit so you will be sure that the game created the save files. Find where the saves are stored. Check the AppData directory. Common save locations etc. At the save location, make a batch file that will replace the saves for everybody. It is not so hard, just Google it. You don't need epic programming skills. When you're done, make shortcuts to that batch file for everybody. People will run the game using the shortcut parameters that you will specify. Like SaveReplacer.bat /Helena, SaveReplacer.bat /Lucy. Also you need to make sure that when you close SaveReplacer.bat, it will replace the saves with the default ones. If I had the Steam version of the game, I could do it for you. =/

How will this in any way affect online scores, that are posted under the Steam login that is playing?
This may be a solution for locally based scores, but definately not online.

The online scoring system uses Steam ID, I guess. Otherwise if you changed your nickname in Steam, your score would be registered to your old nickname.
