Just wanted to no because I cannot get dx11 to work. Apparently the retail version has no probs.

You'r not the only one dude...seems a fair few people can't enable DX11. Myself included.

Nope, I found out that the DVD contains all the correct files for Dx11. Steam has just ♥♥♥♥ed up and forgot to add the full list of files to the download. Hopefully they will be added soon but in the mean time I shall use my friends DVD of the game with my activation key.
