Hi all.
I've been playing COD: BlackOps for quite some time. And it has been quite smooth until something happened after the recent patch.
As above, after joining a game and playing for a few rounds(3 - 4maps), the next map after playing for around 2 - 3mins, suddenly the game HUD disappears and the game just hangs there. And doesn't seem to resume.
Anyone out there facing the same problem? Or rather has a solution to this?
It's been making me so frustrated as I have to C+A+Del just to end the process and re-launch the game to play it again. It's ruining the fun and gameplay exp.
Maybe an admin or someone with authority could address this issue as it's really a nuisance. I've tried a few solutions from this website: http://www.mapmodnews.com/article.php/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-Errors but all doesn't seem to work. Just smoothens gameplay further. So I'd really appreciate some help.
Thanks all for reading this long block of text.

many people have this problem (me 2 to). try to run it on a single GPU maby that will fix your problem.

I don't have a solution for you, but I suggest you check the link below, and if you still have the issue, submit a support request (but I wouldn't expect a fast response).

Very disappointed with Treyarch's and Activision's miserable attempt at Black Ops. They should be ashamed. I paid £35 to play a decent game, but I can't do that because Activision can't be bothered to fix the problem. :(

Hang in there. I know it sucks that they haven't fixed your problem yet, but that doesn't mean that they aren't working on it. The two patches they've released already have actually fixed a lot of problems. Hopefully the next one fixes yours. :/

Well thanks all for reading this and trying to help. @ Crashman and Fairplayer.
For those who face the same problem as me I feel your pain.
Hopefully they'll fix this. Because it makes me so frustrated that I wanna throw my keyboard outta the window. :S
I've submitted a ticket to Activision. Hopefully they'll reply asap. IF they care about the amount of gamers that are affected by this error of some sort.
Even IF it's less than 10% of the gaming community, they should still do something about it. Patching a game means to make EVERYONE be able to play the game with a PC of minimum requirements. But obviously the latest patch screwed it up for me and some of the others.
Disappointment!

I was having exactly the problem you describe.
I happened to install Avira Antivirus a couple hours before the patch and soon I was crashing every few matches along with many other people. It took me awhile to narrow the problem down to Avira, but after uninstalling it, I was able to play for HOURS on end last night. 0 crashes so far. I was actually blaming the patch but it was a software conflict with my AV, not the patch.
I'm getting flawless, uninterrupted game play now. Odds of it working for others are probably slim but at least for me, uninstalling (not disabling but complete uninstall) was the ticket. I have absolutely no complaints about my game at this time.

Haha.
Congrats Systemik :) But I don't run Avira AV :/
I'm running ZA Pro. That's it. Each time I launch the game, I'll set it to Gaming Mode. Whereby it allows all applications through that I've launched that requires internet connectivity. So yea.
Well thinking of trying some new stuffs to see if it works. I hope it does! *Crosses fingers*
I bet my PC is good enough for running the game. Wouldn't wanna try and waste monies to buy a new high-end CPU just to play BlackOps.
$2000 SGD[New CPU] vs $70 SGD[Game]. I'd throw away the game.

It is more than Avira that interfears with the game. Most anti virus' will cause an issue. I have Norton and have to shut it down when playing.
But after that last patch I am having crash problems again, so now I have to try and figure out which program is causing the problem now?!
