It's a ton of fun and the developer really supports their game. I would recommend it if you're into RTS games, try the demo if you aren't sure.

I'll be honest: it took me a year of owning the game to really spend the time to sit down and figure out how to play it. It's not a jump-in-and-start-playing it kind of game; you definitely need to spend about 1-2 hours on the tutorials before you start, and ideally another 3-5 hours on the intermediate tutorial (which is really a short, full campaign with hints along the way).

Having said that, now that I have gotten into it it's *awesome*. If you need great graphics, it's obviously not your thing. But you probably wouldn't have started the thread if that were the case. But if you like really deep strategy in your games in the way you normally only get from a human opponent, then this game beats any other I've played hands-down.

And to expand on the last poster's comment, when he says the developers support the game, he means they *really* support the game. Like releasing new patches on a daily (yes, daily) basis even a year after the game was released. And many of those patches contain complete graphic updates, new combat units, and other things that most developers wouldn't give you without charging for the cost of an expansion.

Finally, one of their paid expansions was developed so that they could give 100% of the profits to charity. I mean, how could you not support a developer like that?
